Bordering States are Arkansas, Louisiana to the east and New Mexico to the west with Oklahoma on it's north border. Leading industries in Texas are oil production and natural gas, farming (cotton, livestock), steel, banking, insurance, & tourism. The state's largest city is Houston, while Austin is the capitol of Texas.
